Funny or Not?

Wes Anderson is a director that really makes me laugh. He's written and directed
Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic, Hotel Chevalier and The Darjeeling Limited (the last two I have yet to see).

These all make me laugh, hope you do too. Enjoy.

I vote Funny!

Cidade dos Homens

http://www.cityofmen-themovie.com/

Above is the link to the new film City of Men. Its from the same director as City of God, which if you haven't seen is a phenomenal movie, and a must on everyones list. Buy it blindly. "If you don't like it I'll pay for it." Panda

This new film is largely set around the same premise as City of God, or at least thats what I get from it.

Synopsis: In CITY OF MEN, producer Fernando Meirelles (The Constant Gardner) returns to the Brazilian favelas of his Academy Award-nominated film, City of God. Growing up in a culture dictated by violence and run by street gangs, teenagers Acerola (Douglas Silva) and Laranjinha (Darlan Cunha) have become close as brothers. With their eighteenth birthdays fast approaching, Laranjinha sets out to find the father he never met, while Acerola struggles to raise his own young son. But when they suddenly find themselves on opposite sides of a gang war, the lifelong friends are forced to confront a shocking secret from their shared past.

Looks like it'll be a great flick. Hopefully everyone checks it out.

And for all those wonder, no Seu Jorge will not have a staring role in this film, nor will he have any minor role from what I can see.

Bye Byes

El Guincho

i read something about El Guincho being the spanish Panda Bear, which was enough to get me to listen. and yeah, he's pretty much a spanish version of Panda Bear. but how awesome does that sound? really awesome, that's how. anyway, here's his self-released record that came out last year. it's super repetitive and really reverby with lots of kooky samples, so if you don't like the P-Bear then you probably won't like this dude. i guess that means this post is for, like, two people.

and look, even the artwork is Panda-esque:

El Guincho - Alegranza

UPDATE: the more i listen to this the more i like it. it's fuckin' crazy in the best way.

OK, so I know keeping tabs on this will be difficult but whatever. Make a guess and I'll reply with whether or not your right or wrong by filling in the blanks.

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee (like the guy in Superbad)

P.S. The dash is not a hyphen, but an indication of two words.
It wouldn't let me leave a space.
