FUCK YOU LEAFS!!!!

Are you fuckin kidding me?!?!? After a string of losing seasons, this year being the worst in recent memory, Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment find it fitting to increase ticket prices. You have got to be out of your mind. Who is in charge there? Bizzaro Superman? How can they justify an increase when you haven't made the playoffs in 4 straight seasons?

But I guess I can't blame those dipshits in charge, because Leaf fans are the biggest lot of mindless retards ever. Every day I'm coming closer to turning my back on this team. Scoff if you'd like, but I have never witnessed an organization go out of their way so much to alienate their fans: first, just a terrible team. No one can argue with that. Second, Leafs TV. Are you serious? Now I have to pay to watch them from home. And lastly, increased ticket prices on almost a yearly basis. This year an increase of 3.5% across the board while a majority of other teams are either freezing ticket prices or lowering them. Thank god we're in an "Economic Crisis" otherwise who knows what the increase would have been.

I just want to extend my thanks to an organization that makes me want to vomit on a consistent basis. Whoever reads this, do me a favor and spit on the ACC or The Maple Leafs emblem next time you see it (but not my hat...not when I'm wearing it at least). Just wait until a few months before next season, when we hear about Leafs TV adding more 'EXCLUSIVE GAMES". That doesn't mean the game is any better on Leafs TV, no, just more cash out of your pocket.

Yours Truly,
Penniless Leaf Fan

To be a Leafs fan it means being loyal to the crest on the front of the shirt, we are fans of the product but not whats behind that product. There is too many hands in the well, we need ONE majority owner and a set of hockey minds(like Burke finally) that take care of all player personal decisions.
The minds that run the team that we have come to love since childhood has forgot what it means to make the "FANS" happy instead they tend to cater to the corporate retards who occupy the platinum seats and don't know their elbow from their ass.
Tampa Bay, Anaheim and Carolina have won a cup in the last 5 years, like WHAT THE FUCK!!!

teachers pension fund

To be a Leaf fan is to be loyal to the crest on the front of the Jersey, yes I agree 100%, however being loyal doesn't constitute being blind. Anonymous #2, it would be ideal to place blame solely on the teachers pension fund and it seems to be the most trendy argument however ownership of the leafs has more participants than an orgy...a small orgy at least;
* 58% – Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan
* 20.5% – Kilmer Sports Inc. (owned by Larry Tanenbaum)
* 14% – TD Bank Financial Group, through TD Capital Group
* 7.5% – CTVglobemedia
Its nice to have a GM in place that 'will be the fix Toronto needs' but I need to see it to believe it. There seems to be too many people that want to have a say into what is going on. It pains me to say it, but the Leafs are truly leaps and bounds away from being the team leaf fans would like it to be. From the outside it looks like they are taking steps to fix the problem, but it'll take much more than Brian Burke and Ron Wilson bashing the quality of their players performance for this team to fix the issues they have. It does however start with us, the fans. Stop going to watch these over priced mens league players, stop paying to watch them on Leafs tv, and lets all do our best to let MLSE know that we are all fed up with the bullshit they put us through since 1967.

they stink but the salary cap has forced them on right track. now the leafs will have to do what they've never really tried to do before: build a team from the bottom up.

i think the pre-salary cap leafs have proven that pumping money into contracts and buying players doesn't really produce winning teams like it can in the nba, mlb, or soccer. now that the cap won't let rich teams like the leafs rely on their immense pile of money to aquire players they're going to have to build a team through smart trades, drafts and signings, which is what they should have been doing all along. and for that i think they've hired the best personnel possible.

as for the ticket prices and leafs tv and all the business shit, i can't blame them a single bit. they run a business and making money is priority number one. people pay for what they want and people want leafs' products. simple as that. sure, it sucks for regular fans but if you don't like it then protest the only way you can: don't support them (following another team is a good alternative, ie. FLAMES). plus, the teacher's pension plan can't make enough money in my eyes ;)

if 20,000 people stopped going to games, there would be another 20,000+ lining up to fill those seats.
